Malawi Google site hacked

first_imgAdvertisement Google Malawi is one of the sites which was hacked by a Bangladeshi hacker, along with other notable websites in the southern African country.Reports suggest that they hacked into the Malawi – .mw – Domain Registrar website, after which they targeted master and slave DNS servers and further used a DNS poisoning attack to target top domains. After the DNS poisoning attack they are alleged to have changed the DNS records for the affected domains. This caused the domain names to  be pointed to their own web server which had the defaced page. – Advertisement – Reports and messages left allegedly by the hacker, TiGER-M@TE, suggest the popular hacker this time around teamed up with another only known as h311 c0d3 for an extensive hacking and defacement campaign which seems to have mainly targeted Malawi domain registry.Zone-H records show that the two hackers managed to deface Malawi Google, Malawi Yahoo and Malawi MSN.Going through the Zone-H records also shows many more websites which were defaced by the two hackers during the said campaign. The Malawi Domain Registrar has since fixed this with the relevant websites now resolving as they should. Source: HumanIPOlast_img read more

Microsoft Sold 12 million Xbox One Consoles In November

It’s not clear just yet how many consoles Sony or Nintendo sold over the same period.last_img read more

PREVIEW Liverpool v Swansea

first_img[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he final Premier League match of the year takes place at Anfield tonight as Liverpool host Swansea. It’s a big match for both teams – Swansea are three points in front of Liverpool as both teams reach their halfway stage of the season. It’s a game that historically produces either a 0-0 or a goalfest !!Prime example being the FA Cup clash in 1990 which finished 0-0 at Swansea but 8-0 in the replay at Anfield !!The over-riding stat however is that Swansea have never won a league match at Anfield in 13 attempts (drawn 3, lost 10).Last season it was very much Fortress Anfield, but the home form from Liverpool so far this season has been hugely disappointing with just 13 points from their nine home games.Liverpool v SwanseaPremier League8pm SKYHEAD TO HEAD RECORD(Maximum 10 matches)Oct 2014 Capital One Liverpool 2-1 SwanseaFeb 2014 Premier Liverpool 4-3 SwanseaSep 2013 Premier Swansea 2-2 LiverpoolFeb 2013 Premier Liverpool 5-0 SwanseaNov 2012 Premier Swansea 0-0 LiverpoolOct 2012 Capital One Liverpool 1-3 SwanseaMay 2012 Premier Swansea 1-0 LiverpoolNov 2011 Premier Liverpool 0-0 SwanseaJan 1990 FA Cup Liverpool 8-0 SwanseaJan 1990 FA Cup Swansea 0-0 LiverpoolThe draw at 11/4 with Star Sports makes plenty of appeal with me.RECOMMENDED BETS (scale of 1-50 points)BACK DRAW for 5 points at around 11/4 with Star SportsRETURN SINCE START OF WORLD CUP: PROFIT 39.38 POINTSWhat’s your view? BENS BLOG Glorious Goodwood Jack Lander a selfdriven child prodigy

first_img[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t was a real pleasure to meet Jack Lander and his father, Darren, yesterday at Goodwood. Jack is an 11 year old whirlwind of achievement. His latest adventure, to walk no less than 172 miles, in aid of the Injured Jockeys Fund. Because of such feats, he is rightly being celebrated by the Racing Media and everyone in The Game itself.Myself and Darren had a chat whilst I was working away on the pitch. He is a jovial and fun character and said to me “Oh, Ben. He’s already asked ‘What’s next, Dad?’. I’ve had to say, ‘Let’s just have a rest for a while, son.’. To be honest, I feel absolutely fucked!”.What strikes me, as being unique about Jack, is he’s not being pushed forward. This is no Williams Sister or Michael Jackson, living the dreams his parents failed to achieve. No. At a young age, he is embracing life and taking every opportunity in his chosen path.Jack, you are unique. We don’t know if you’re going to end up Champion Jockey, Head of The BHA, or Prime Minister. Baker Institute and Carnegie Endowment for International Peace launch joint project on

first_imgShareNEWS RELEASEDavid Ruth713-348-6327david@rice.eduBaker Institute and Carnegie Endowment for International Peace launch joint project on prospects for Israeli-Palestinian peaceHOUSTON – (April 27, 2018) – Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace have launched a joint effort to create a report addressing current options for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. The project will be headed by Baker Institute Director Edward Djerejian and Carnegie Endowment Vice President Marwan Muasher. The report, to be published this fall will consider two frameworks for addressing the conflict in the years ahead: the two-state paradigm that has characterized the peace process for decades, or the parameters of coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians within a single or binational state. The project will not only seek to revisit long-standing assumptions, but will assess current realities in the Israeli, Palestinian and international political context, in an effort to evaluate practical next steps toward finding a sustainable and equitable solution.“The Israeli-Palestinian conflict remains a core issue in the Middle East,” said Djerejian, a former U.S. ambassador to Israel and Syria. “Efforts to advance peace between Israel and Palestine have been stagnant since 2014, but in light of recent events – the Arab uprising and the regional consequences, unrest in Gaza, the decision to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem in May and important questions about the future of Palestinian politics and institutions – there is a compelling need to assess the objective realities of prospects to move forward toward a negotiated peace settlement.”“With the possible breakdown of a two-state solution, the time has come to study other alternatives, specifically variations of the one-state solution, and all the possible implications for future Palestinians and Israelis,” Muasher said.Djerejian served as U.S. ambassador to Israel, assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs and U.S. ambassador to Syria.Muasher served as deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Jordan.-30-Follow the Baker Institute on Twitter @BakerInsitute.Follow Rice News and Media Relations on Twitter @RiceUNews.This news release can be found online at news.rice.edu.Founded in 1993, Rice University’s Baker Institute ranks among the top three university-affiliated think tanks in the world. Jindal MBA Team Takes Second Place in Real Estate Case Competition

first_img regions: Dallas A team of students at the University of Texas at Dallas – Naveen Jindal School of Management recently took second-place and a $3,000 prize in a real estate case competition. The student team participated in the 12th annual Texas Shoot Out Real Estate MBA Case Challenge, which was organized by the North Texas chapter of the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks. Student teams represented a number of schools throughout Texas, such as Baylor, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UT Arlington, SMU and more. The Jindal student team was assembled by Danielle Walts, who heard about the case competition in her Introduction to Real Estate course taught by Dr. Randall S. Guttery. Walts, who is pursuing a joint MBA and MS in Finance degree, put together a team of fellow MBA students Daniel O’Dell, Marco Pisterzi, Brian Korver (from the Professional MBA Flex program) and Miguel Limongi (Executive MBA 2016).The competition required students to submit plans for developing two undeveloped parcels in Plano making up 13.64 acres. Currently, the land is part of Legacy Central, a large office and mixed-use development space. Teams had just over two weeks to work together and develop their plan.“I walked the team through a highest and best-use analysis and told them to focus on clarity rather than complexity on the financial analysis part,” said past competitor and Jindal alumnus Edmund Lord, MBA 2016, who the student team asked for advice. With his help, the team assembled a presentation which they presented to a panel of real estate professionals in April. Not only did the Jindal team walk away with second place and a cash prize of $3,000, (UT Austin took the top prize of $6,000) but also had crucial opportunities for networking. At the competition, Walts had the opportunity to meet Julie Lynch, principal at LYNOUS Talent Management, who offered Walts an temporary position. “When she found out I used to be a commercial real estate property manager before I came to the full-time program, she offered to turn it into an internship, so I ended up taking it,” said Walts. It’s a great company and a great opportunity. If it all works out, they’re looking to add someone to their staff in about year. US Forces to Stay in Iraq as Long as Needed Spokesman

first_img Show Discussion US ABU DHABI—U.S. forces will stay in Iraq “as long as needed” to help stabilize regions previously controlled by ISIS, a spokesman for the U.S.-led international coalition fighting the militants said on Aug. 19.“We’ll keep troops there as long as we think they’re needed … The main reason, after ISIS is defeated militarily, is the stabilization efforts and we still need to be there for that, so that’s one of the reasons we’ll maintain a presence,” Colonel Sean Ryan told a news conference in Abu Dhabi. The number of American soldiers could go down, however, depending on when other forces from the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation deploy to help train the Iraqi army, he said, adding that about 5,200 U.S. troops are currently based in Iraq.NATO defense ministers agreed in February to a bigger “train-and-advise” mission in Iraq after a U.S. call for the alliance to help stabilize the country after three years of war against Islamic State.“Possibly, there could be a drawdown, it just depends on when NATO comes in and they help train the forces as well,” Ryan said.Iraq officially announced victory over the militants in December, five months after capturing their stronghold Mosul. The United States also has about 2,000 troops in Syria, assisting the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) clear pockets still under the control of Islamic State along the border with Iraq.“We’re starting to see a lot of collaboration between the SDF and ISF (Iraqi Security Forces) because it used to be that they would just come to the coalition, but now, we have them talking to each other as well,” said Ryan. The Iraqi military has carried out several air strikes against ISIS in Syria since last year, the last of which a few days ago, with the approval of President Bashar al-Assad and the U.S.-led coalition.SDF operations to finish off the militants on the Syrian side have been delayed by hundreds of explosive devices planted by ISIS, according to Ryan.  LINKEDINPINTERESTREDDITTUMBLRSTUMBLEUPON   Sharecenter_img US Forces to Stay in Iraq as Long as Needed: Spokesman By Reuters August 19, 2018 Updated: August 19, 2018 Share this article FILE PHOTO: U.S. soldiers gather at a military base north of Mosul, Iraq, January 4, 2017.
